Acknowledge and Remember the Feeling

May 31, 2019

While working on my own financial plan over the holiday weekend, I was reminded about the “why” we implement solutions and strategies in our life as part of our financial plans. As a CFP® Practitioner, I spend my days and weeks working on the “how” or the “what” of a financial plan and I don’t necessarily get to experience the feeling of the “why” when clients follow through on recommendations that we make for them as part of the planning process.

However, as I was taking time to re-evaluate (and subsequently increase) my own personal life insurance, I was reminded first-hand the feeling that one has when they realize that the actions they are taking today are being done out of love and commitment to the ones that we love. It hit me so much that I wanted to document that feeling in real time and share those thoughts with you below.
