John Bohnsack, CFP®

Wealth Advisor

I grew up on a farm in rural North Dakota, which has been in my family since 1870, which taught me about hard work, risk-taking, and the challenges of running a small business.

Before joining Integrated, I worked at a large financial planning firm in College Station, Texas. I partnered with approximately 80 mostly retired clients with net worth anywhere from $1M to $20M. This experience has been invaluable as I help ODs prepare for retirement.

I have held my CFP® since 2011. In 2019, I was recognized by the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) with the New Professional Award for my influence in the professional and volunteer roles within the Fee-Only Financial Planning community. Additionally, I have been sought after for my advice and thought leadership. In the past, my thoughts have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, and the widely followed Nerd’s Eye View Blog.

In addition to being a Financial Planner, I try to positively influence our profession as a speaker, writer, and part-time adjunct faculty in the Financial Planning Program at Texas A&M University.

My wife Melissa is a manager in the Financial Aid Department at Texas A&M University and is currently pursuing her doctorate. We have two daughters who participate in Girl Scouts, swimming, orchestra, and dance. When I am not spending time with my family, you can find me reading, playing chess, preparing for a Triathlon, or serving on the board of the Brazos Valley Symphony.

Financial Planning matters. That is why I pursue excellence in Financial Planning to help others experience what a great planner can do for them – it made a huge difference for my family and I truly believe it can make a big difference for you.
